How to install the Custodian PWA on iOS

Apple iOS

If you’re looking to see how to install the Custodian App to your iOS device you’re in the right place. If you’re looking how to do it on an Android device, you want to go to How to install the Custodian PWA on Android

Custodian is currently only available as a native application in the UK Apple Store. However you can still ‘install’ the application to your device as a ‘Progressive Web Application’ (PWA). PWA’s are almost indistinguishable from native apps in a lot of ways and whilst we develop our platform to support other countries and we encourage our users to give our PWA and website in the meantime. It has complete feature parity and is available globally.

Instructions below:

Step 1

In order to install a PWA to you Apple device the first step is to open https://app.custodian.club in the Safari browser. It’s important to load our application in Safari or the rest of the process will not work.

Step 2

Once you’ve loaded https://app.custodian.club in Safari, login to your account (or register if you haven’t yet) and after that you should be greeted with something similar to the below image:

As you can see from the picture there is a prompt at the bottom giving you instructions on how to install the application.

💡 On some devices this notice will not appear but the instructions should be the same

Download this app to your iPhone by 'sharing' it and then selecting 'Add to Home Screen' - this will install the Custodian app to your iPhone

Step 3

After ‘sharing’ the page and selecting to add it to your home screen, because Custodian is a PWA, instead of just adding a shortcut to our website, it will install our application to your home screen and it will look just like a native app.

💡 We appreciate some of our users would really like to have a native application for both Apple and Android devices in all regions. We’re happy to say here that we plan on launching our native application in early 2025 and we hope in the meantime you can use our current web offerings.
